Darling Donkeys Treat Box Details
How cute is this Darling Donkeys Treat Box? I think he looks particularly adorable against the Bermuda Bay and Rococo Rose DSP (also called patterned paper) from Sale-A-Bration. This paper is the Oh So Ombre DSP. I really love these colors together.
The best part about this box, other than the fact that the stamp set is FREE, and the DSP is FREE too, the best thing is how easy the box is to assemble. All you need is a 6 x 6 piece of DSP or cardstock. I also used my Simply Scored, some Tombow glue, and my Blends.
I used Smoky Slate Blends (light and dark), Crumb Cake Blends (light and dark), and Rococo Rose Blends (light). To give the donkey a little texture, I stippled (dotted) using my dark Smokey Slate marker. Here’s a close up.
Because I had so much fun coloring that guy, I had to make a second box.
For this box, I used a different piece of 6 x 6 paper from the Oh So Ombre DSP. I thought the circles were fun, but I wanted this donkey to really shine and take center stage.
I used the same colors of Blends to color my donkey, because I really love how the first donkey turned out.
For both boxes, I also did a little heat embossing, using White Emboss powder. I love how it looks on the Bermuda Bay and Rococo Rose cardstock.
