Free as a Bird Treat Box Details
This Free as a Bird Treat Box was so easy to create, because I used the Love You Always Treat Boxes from the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog. Because my box was already made, all I needed to do was assemble and decorate it. That’s the best part, right?
I decided to heat emboss my frame around the birds. Because I wanted the pretty Oh So Ombre DSP from Sale-A-Bration to show through the inside of the frame, I die cut a circle from the center.
For my coloring, I used my blends, because I wanted the coloring smooth and blended. On the birds, I used a little Smoky Slate light to add some shading and a little Petal Pink light to add some color to their chests. When coloring objects white (like these birds), I like to add a little gray shading. Otherwise, they don’t look white. They look uncolored.
Because there are no coordinating dies for the Free as a Bird stamp set, I fussy cut the bird and the flowers. It’s not my favorite thing, but sometimes I don’t mind doing it.
I adhered the birds to the Swirly Frame using Tombow. Then I used dimensionals to adhere the frame.
To finish it off, I added two Metallic Pearls.
