This Love What You Do Thank You Card is the perfect card for beginning stampers and more advanced crafters alike. All you need is ink, paper, and an oval. A die cutting machine or punches make the oval easy to make. Don’t have a die cut machine? Simply use scissors to cut a piece of cardstock into a square or rectangle instead.
I started with a Whisper White card base cut to 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 and scored at 4-1/4. Then I cut a piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock to 3-1/2 x 5. The next step is to cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 3-1/2 x 4-1/4.
On the 3-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White, you’ll use a brayer and some Blackberry Bliss ink to create the background. Using the brayer gives the background texture and dimension with very little effort.
Using the stamps in the Love What You Do stamp set, stamp the small flowers along one side of the piece of cardstock that you just brayered. Then stamp “than you” toward the bottom right of this piece of cardstock.
Now, using the Stitched Shapes Dies, cut the largest oval from a piece of Whisper White cardstock. Then stamp the flowers with the stems. For my card, I used the Stampin’ Write Blackberry Bliss marker to color the flowers. You could also use one of the stamps in the stamp set to fill them in.
Assemble the Love What You Do Thank You Card
Use your adhesive of choice to layer the Blackberry Bliss piece onto the card base. Then layer your brayered and stamped piece onto the Blackberry Bliss layer. Next, add the stitched oval to the brayered piece.
