This Many Messages Sympathy Card is beautiful thanks to the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper (patterned paper) from Sale-A-Bration.
I decided to pair the Free as a Bird stamp set with the Many Mates Bundle. This bundle was one of the first bundles I purchased from the 2021 January to June mini catalog. I love how easy it is to create a background, even without the Oh So Ombre DSP. By the way, the Oh So Ombre paper will be going away on February 28. So if you want it, be sure to place your order no later than February 28. The sooner the better, actually. There’s more information on Sale-A-Bration below.
Many Mates Sympathy Card Details
For my coloring, I used my blends, because I wanted the coloring smooth and blended. On the birds, I used a Pool Party light and dark, plus a little Crumb Cake light to add some color to their chests. For their beaks, I used Pumpkin Pie light. For the flowers, I used Petal Pink dark and Flirty Flamingo light. Then I used Granny Apple Green light and dark for the leaves.
Because there are no coordinating dies for the Free as a Bird stamp set, I fussy cut the bird and the flowers. It’s not my favorite thing, but sometimes I don’t mind doing it. If you saw Tuesday’s post, you’ll notice I fussy cut the birds for that image too.
Next, I heat embossed the Swirly Frame from the Swirly Frames stamp set and heat embossed it with Gold Emboss Powder and my Heat Tool. Then I die cut the frame using my Layering Circles dies.
For the sentiment, I used the Many Messages Bundle. Then I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I have been loving this bundle too. It’s so easy to make multiple sentiments with one pass of the Cut and Emboss machine.
For the background, I die cut the large die from Many Medallions dies. Then I adhered that to a piece of Oh So Ombre DSP.
I adhered the birds to the Swirly Frame using Tombow. Then I used dimensionals to adhere the frame. All of that is adhered to a 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ Basic White card base.
To finish it off, I added two Metallic Pearls.
