Fall is the perfect time for Paper Pumpkin Meets Simple Stamping, because we are so busy during October and November. Where I live, it’s snowing, and that puts me in the mood for Christmas. Or at least, in the mood for making Christmas cards. I have too much Christmas shopping to do to be ready for December 25.
I have a sweet little Christmas card for you today. This card combines the October 2019 Paper Pumpkin kit called Winter Woods and simple stamping. This card features the Perfectly Plaid Bundle, which I overlooked when the Holiday Catalog first launched. How that happened I don’t know, because the bundle includes plaid and a punch. What more could I ask for?
I started with a Whisper White card base, which is 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. On another piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment. To do this, I used the Night of Navy ink and a stamp from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I stamped off onto a piece of scrap paper. Then I stamped on the Whisper White. I re-positioned the stamp and stamped again below the first sentiment–without reinking. I continued doing this until I reached the bottom. When I was done, I cut this piece so it was approximately 2-1/8″ x 5-1/2″. I wanted it as long as the card base.
Using more Whisper White cardstock and some Garden Green ink, I stamped the tree from the Perfectly Plaid Bundle three times. Because the bundle includes the Pine Tree Punch, I used that to punch all three trees. Then I used Early Espresso ink to stamp the tree trunks. (I find it easier to stamp the trunk after I punch out the tree.)
Then I used Tombow to adhere the sentiment strip then the three trees. This is truly #simplestamping at it’s best.
You can purchase the items I used to make this card at my online store.
In November, Jodie’s Ink Spot will be moving. After October 2019, please visit me here.
Thank you for stopping by, and have a great day.
