Why Paper Pumpkin – Exclusive Stamp Sets
Do you love exclusive stamp sets? In a previous post, I explored my reasons for choosing Paper Pumpkin over other card kits. There are so many card kits (box subscriptions) that it can be confusing and overwhelming.
In this post, I would like to explore another reason I chose the Paper Pumpkin subscription kits. (Really, there are many reasons to choose this kit over other subscription kits.)
That reason is exclusive stamp sets. Unlike other subscription kits, where the stamp set and kit components are eventually made available to everyone, Paper Pumpkin kit items are completely exclusive. You won’t see the stamp set pop up on the Stampin’ Up! online store; you won’t see pre-printed die cut pieces pop up in the online store, either. Everything from the kits is exclusive to the Paper Pumpkin kit, and you cannot purchase them later.
Let’s talk about those exclusive stamp sets for a moment. When I subscribed, I intended to purchase one month’s kit, then end my subscription. I knew the month I originally subscribed for would have two (that’s right) stamp sets. Why two? Because March is Paper Pumpkin’s birthday month. To celebrate, they included two stamp sets.
Inside each box is a flyer with information regarding the next month’s kit. The flyer in my first month’s kit mentioned that the stamp set for the next month would be a distINKtive stamp set, the first one in Paper Pumpkin history.
For those of you who don’t know, distINKtive stamps are exclusive to Stampin’ Up!. These stamps feature photo realistic quality, which give lots of depth and dimension.
How could I cancel my subscription when I knew a special stamp set was coming the next month? So, I continued my subscription. When my Paper Pumpkin kit arrived the next month, I was so happy I didn’t cancel. The distINKtive stamp was a beautiful rose. It’s one of my favorites.
Again, I planned to cancel my subscription once the distINKtive box arrived. However, at OnStage that year, we got a sneak peek at the next kit, which was Shelli Gardner’s kit. I couldn’t cancel now. When my kit arrived, I was pleasantly surprised to find the stamp set we used at OnStage was only a sample of the set we actually received in the kit.
That’s when I stopped thinking about canceling my subscription, and I haven’t looked back since.
